VBeaute is hosting a beauty and makeover day this Saturday at Bergdorf Goodman, with the founder Julie Macklowe.  I am so excited, hope to see you there.

Iron Mtn is a Los Angeles based stoner/ doom/ experimental 4-piece. They play raw instrumental grooves that will get you moving... Iron Mtn's sound is heavy & bluesy psychedelic at the same time. These guys throw out some crushing riffs while staying really dynamic in their own distinct way. For example; The opening track could be a lost demo of Samsara Blues Experiment & the second track creates a dark, moody atmosphere in the likes of Capricorns, Serpentcult, Sardonis,... followed by a slow Sleep worshipping groove. Their s/t debut is a great offering for any lover of instrumental stoner/ doom with raw edges. The hints of psychedelica & bluesy riffs are a welcome addition that keep the sound interesting & balanced throughout the 5 tracks. Aside from the fact that I'm not too fond of the production quality (it can sound a bit muddy), I would highly recommend this album. Check it out & support these guys! This is how you stay tres chic in unpredictable weather.

Lara Schriffen looked amazing last night in her Anna Sui strapless A-line dress.   She was invited to a cultural arts gala in Washington D.C, and Anna Sui was a great choice.  The gown is formal yet fun because its short and has hidden pockets.  I love the effortless hair and makeup, I am a fan of the beachy, "Malibu" hair!

Heels are great, but a fashionable pair of sneakers are sometimes just as wonderful.  I am currently lusting after these canary yellow Isabel Marants.  They would be great with a pair of skinny jeans, a trench coat and a stroll through Paris.

I found these Amish ladies this morning in the Garmet district in New York.  What do you think of their look? How unique?  But...where are they going?  I didn't think the Amish even used electricity.

Alexander Wang, is Lara's(my BFF's) go to designer.  Without fail she is usually a fan of everything he makes.  Here she is wearing a fur collared cut out Wang jacket, on a recent ski trip. Now that its spring, she can detatch the collar and still wear her fave jacket. AMAZING!
