Recently got my hands on this one after reading some great reviews . And I was quite unfamiliar with this obscure band, until now.. I would highly recommend this release to anyone that is into extreme (& rather progressive) metal. Tombs is a one of a kind band, influenced by many things. On here, you'll find Sludge, Doom, Grindcore, Post-, Black & Death Metal mixed into one apocalyptic wall of sound. 'Vattnet Viskar is an ambient black metal/doom band from southern New Hampshire. Formed as a 2-man project, a demo was released, and it quickly became obvious that there was interest in the music. Recruiting members to fill out the band, the sound evolved into what it is today. With influences ranging from Neurosis to Gorgoroth, it is hard to classify the sound, although the band describes themselves as “the east coast answer to pacific black metal”.
