Psyched out improv jams from Italy, sounds raw & live: straight from the 70's. Summer Bacchanalia's sound is a mesmerizing piece of work, a droning trip in psychedelica that comes with its flaws. 'We formed 3 years ago after the insane idea of three guitar player to put up a band on their own: one of them still play the guitar, the other two had to switch to drums and bass. 'Radar Men From The Moon': an old scifi b-movie & a fresh space rock band from the Netherlands. I originally found this gem through a site called prog-sphere.com , they have an excellent selection of Bandcamp picks over there (from indie to space & stoner rock), check it out . Been listening to this masterpiece non stop in the last weeks. Recently found out about this band through Relapse records and I'm impressed to say the least! Horseback is a highly atmospheric/ ambient/ post-whatever band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Their sound is kinda hard to describe, To give an idea: the same kind of immersion when listening to Sunn O))) & Earth, while meeting up with the unique psychedelic vibes of 35007 & Mother-Unit. A fine request for all you stoned sludgsters out there. 'Traitors Return To Earth' is a 4 piece from Columbus, Ohio. These guys play a really dirty mix of doom & sludge metal. Something pure, loud & filthy influenced by legends like Sleep, Weedeater, Electric Wizard,... Bio: Traitors Return to Earth formed in July of 2010 for one reason and one reason only, that is to play the heaviest music possible at the most unreasonable volumes. A short history lesson for all the newcomers; 'Serpentcult' originally started back in '98 as 'Thee Plague Of Gentlemen'. 'Hydromedusa' from Adelaide, Australia. Huge, aggressive stoner/ doom (or anything close to that). This album starts with a quick groove followed by 'Pemulwuy', a sexy 24 minute stoner/ doom epic (check out the vid below).
