Orange Goblin - Thieving From The House Of God (2010)

Image
"Thieving From the House of God was almost a statement of defiance from us. After successful (but gruelling) tours of the US, Japan and Europe to support Coup De Grace, we lost a guitarist when Pete left to pursue his career in art. This could have spelt the end for the band but if anything, it just made us stronger and I think this album is the perfect combination of the 4 previous records. Being trimmed down to a 4 piece gave Joe the freedom to express himself more as a guitarist and Martyn and Chris both upped their game as well. We worked with Billy Anderson again to create an album that earned great reviews all over the world and established Orange Goblin as part of the UK metal hierarchy (albeit as the black sheep of that hierarchy!) Now, like the other albums, with this re-mastered and featuring additional artwork and bonus tracks, this is an essential part of any Orange Goblin collection." - Rise Above Records Last of the Orange Goblin remasters with bonu...

Orange Goblin - Coup De Grace (2010)

Image
"Coup De Grace is our controversial album. Produced by Kyuss / The Obsessed legend Scott Reeder, we tried to attain a more live sounding record which lost us some fans and gained us others elsewhere! Growing weary of being branded with the stoner tag, we made a concerted effort to do something different on this album and I still stand by the results. I think Scott did a great job in capturing the aggression that wed incorporated and songs like Monkey Panic, Red Web and Born with Big Hands still sound great today. The Frank Kozik artwork always stood out when the album was first released and now with the re-mastering and bonus tracks, this album looks and sounds better than ever!" - Rise Above Records MP3@320Kbps Download or Download 2

Orange Goblin - The Big Black (2010)

"Personally, The Big Black is still my favourite Orange Goblin record. Written at a time when the band had first started to tour abroad and see the world, I think the variation and song-writing on this record make it an essential for any Orange Goblin fan. We got to work with producer Billy Anderson for the first time after being blown away by his previous work with Neurosis, Sleep and numerous others. I honestly think we could play every track from this album in a live environment and nothing would be out of place. To me, it perfectly encapsulates everything about Orange Goblin and the new re-mastered version with the bonus tracks make it even better!" - Rise Above Records MP3@320Kbps Download or Download 2

Orange Goblin - Time Travelling Blues (2010)

Image
"Time Travelling Blues came very hot on the heels of Frequencies and is considered by a lot of people as their favourite Orange Goblin album. As a band we had found our niche, the song-writing was developing all the time and we were starting to get recognised by a wider audience. Again, we still play a lot of the material from this album live but a lot of the younger fans havent heard it so much as its been out of print. Were exceptionally proud that this record is being made available again, re-mastered which really makes the songs stand out! Throw in the bonus tracks and the additional artwork and it makes for an awesome package." - Rise Above Records MP3@320Kbps Download or Download 2

Orange Goblin - Frequencies From Planet Ten (2010)

Image
"Frequencies from Planet Ten is the sound of Orange Goblin trying to establish ourselves and experimenting with an array of different influences. It was an exciting time for us as we were just finding our feet as a band. We were young and the UK stoner /doom scene was just coming to fruition so it was great to be a part of that. The album has been out of print for a while, its great that its getting a re-release. I think the songs still sound strong and relevant, which is why we still include a lot of this material in our live set to this day and a lot of the newer OG fans can discover where it all started, only this time re-mastered and with the addition of bonus tracks and unseen artwork!" - Rise Above Records What more to say about this legendary band from the UK? Orange Goblin is still one the best out there when it comes to dirty rockin' stoner metal, from the psychedelic grooves on 'Frequencies From Planet Ten' to the whiskey fueled energy on 'Thieving F...
