Procession - Destroyers Of The Faith (2010)

The debut of Procession from Chile, the Mini CD/LP ‘The Cult Of Disease’, came onto the doom metal scene with a big bang. Procession’s music is epic, majestic and very heavy; without doubt one of the best newcomers the past years. Now the first full-length of the band around singer/guitarist Felipe Kutzbach has been released and he recorded this album with a new line-up. On bass we now find Claudio Botarro Neira with whom Felipe is also in the band Capilla Ardiente and on drums we have Francisco Aguirre.

Procession continued where they have left off meaning ‘Destroyers Of The Faith’ sounds huge. The band knows how to write classy tunes and the way they write the bass-guitar parts is just brilliant. The track ‘The Road To The Gravegarden’ was also on their demo ‘Burn’ that in its turn was also part of ‘The Cult Of Disease’ but in this form the songs has grown even more. Next to the LP version that is out on High Roller Records there will be a CD edition available through Doomentia Records. It doesn’t matter whether you buy the LP or CD (or both) as long as you do buy it as Procession’s ‘Destroyers Of The Faith’ is an essential release! -Lords Of Metal
