Horn Of The Rhino - Weight Of Coronation (2010)

Previously 'Rhino', this mighty band from Spain is back with a new name & record. Weight Of Coronation is a great album packed with some punishing riff work. I just think the vocals are really hard to appreciate on some of the tracks ('Mass Burial Punishment' for example). It's a weird combination, dirty High on Fire-esque groove with rather dramatic vocals. Maybe the band choose for a more classic doomy approach there. Sometimes this works kinda misleading. When you hear earth destroying riffs & drums, one could expect a fitting 'monstrous' voice to bring it to a climax. Still, some mighty fine tracks on this album, especially the last one. Check out what Spain has to offer with 'Horn of The Rhino'..

Actor Mark Wahlberg is said rather embarrassed by her fashion choices during his brief career in hip-hop under the pseudonym of rapper Marky Mark .
