Some Info & Updates

I've been getting lots of personal messages & tons of e-mails about the blog nowadays. A (not so) short post to get things clear.

Filehosting & dead links: Since the infamous downfall of Megaupload, many filesharing services were running scared & just stopped working like they did before. Sadly, the remaining filehosting websites out there are blatantly deleting accounts when they discover any possible material that could be copyrighted (ironically, this includes downloads from bands that offer their music for free).

Either way, I'm still experimenting with filehosters that are reliable for sharing the music that I represent on this blog. Just remember that you're getting your favorite tunes for free & without restrictions. That includes Bandcamp/ direct downloads coming from all the wonderful artists out there. I just provide extra mirrors with sorted artwork & tags (straight from my personal music folder). Most of the blog's older links are dead along with their filesharing sites. I won't be re-uploading those, give the artists a visit & buy stuff directly from them. They deserve it, trust me.

About the bands: I'll continue to share music with sludgy love & rifftastic passion. As stated in older posts, I'm now 90% focused on unknown & beginning bands. So don't expect the new High On Fire or Orange Goblin on here. It's too risky for me & there are countless alternatives to check out the big boys (streaming, Youtube, Bandcamp,...).

The future: Stonerobixxx has become one of the leading blogs in the stoner/ sludge/ doom/ psychedelic genres. I'm proud to say that there are future plans with the blog (more on that in the upcoming months). We are living in a time where music is freer than ever. There's a whole galaxy to explore without restrictions. The industry & artists are changing with it, think Bandcamp, Bigcartel, Facebook, Grooveshark, Spotify,... Music blogs are becoming gateways into various genres & styles. They make excellent promotion & will continue to evolve through time. Made by the fans for the fans!

For now, I started to expand the blog a little more with a fresh Youtube channel & a not too fancy Facebook page. Subscribe/ like to get updates, news & discover more great tunes!
